Creating and Editing a Performance Metric

1. To create a new Performance Metric or edit the Metric Name, Description, Unit of Measure, Performance Measurement Category, or Measurement Condition for an existing Performance Metric, select the CPIC Setting option from the CPIC menu on the left, then select the 'Manage Performance Metrics' option at the top of the screen.

Note: Only Users with CPIC Administrator permissions will be able to access this screen.

2. To edit an existing metric, select the desired Metric name from the list page.

• Select 'Edit' from the top of the Performance Metric detail page.
• Make desired changes and select 'Save' when done.

3. To create a new metric, select the 'Create Performance Metric' option from the top of the list page.

• Fill out all required fields and select 'Save' button at the top of screen when done.
• To create more than one metric, select 'Save and Create' button instead.

4. To add this Metric to an investment, navigate to any Component assigned to the desired Investment.

• From the Portfolio menu, select 'Components' and filter on the desired Investment.

• Select the desired component from the returned list.

5. Select the Metrics tab on the Component page.  This is where metrics created in the settings area of the application can be added to the Component/Investment.  This also where metrics can be retired.

6. To add a Performance Metric that has been created in the Settings area, select the 'Create Metric' option at the top of the screen.

7. On this create screen, there will be a drop-down of all Performance Metrics that have been created/exist in the settings area which can be aligned to the Investment Component.

• Once all information has been added, select 'Save'.  

• Select 'Return to List' to view the newly added metric to display on the component screen.
